"Hey, I’m Jahmaal Benford. Growing up with two parents who were both dog breeders and trainers, I started training dogs at just 10 years old. When my military career was cut short due to medical issues, I felt lost. I knew I needed a service dog and a protector to help me navigate the next phase of my life. As a disabled veteran, the Department of Veterans Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation program gave me the support I needed to attend dog training school. I completed the ‘Master Dog Trainer’ program at the International School for Dog Trainers in Harmony, NC—and the rest is history. Since then, I’ve helped save countless dogs and their owners.”
